Red, a sea worth protecting

  • A sea worth protecting.

    RED

RED A sea worth protecting starts with an introduction to the history of the Red Sea and its geography, highlighting its exceptional coral formations, mangrove forests, and seagrass beds. The film then moves onto more specific details about the extraordinary, but critically endangered, marine species that make the Red Sea their home. RED A sea worth protecting, derived from the IUCN Red List, is a unique journey into what should be one of the most "least concerning" seas in the world.

RED A sea worth protecting is about the human journey. Through the eyes, efforts and research of several scientists and conservationists we learn about the endangered species of the Red Sea Ecosystem.

The film will cover the essentials for maintaining healthy reefs, seagrass, and mangrove environments, whilst telling the stories of the scientists who are dedicating their lives to their protection.
